Crab and Avocado Toast

Ready to take avocado toast to the next level? Add fresh lump crabmeat. The juicy crabmeat gets seasoned with a hint of mayonnaise, citrus, ginger, and mustard and is the perfect complement to creamy mashed avocado. Shopping List
  • 1 to 2 pieces toast (I use gluten-free oat bread)
  • 1 1/2 ounces fresh lump crabmeat
  • 1/4 large avocado, diced
  • 1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 3/4 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
  1. Step 1: In a bowl, fold together the lime or lemon juice, crabmeat, mustard, mayonnaise, and ginger. Season with salt and pepper. Note: Stir gently so as not to break the big pieces of crabmeat.
  2. Step 2: Use a fork to mash the avocado and smear it all over the warm toast. You want there to be a pretty thick layer. Spoon the crab mixture all over the mashed avocado.
  3. Serve: Enjoy immediately.
