Air Fryer Crispy Chickpeas

Homemade crispy chickpeas made EXTRA crispy in an air fryer! Only 4 ingredients, super easy, and perfect as a crunchy snack or salad topping.

Shopping List
- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, grapeseed oil, or avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon spices of choice (Note 1)
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
- Step 2: Combine the drained chickpeas (no need to pat them dry), oil, spices, and salt in a small mixing bowl until well coated. Transfer the chickpeas to the air fryer basket and air fry for about 13 minutes total, or until golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket often to brown evenly on all sides.
- Serve: Transfer the chickpeas to a container and sprinkle with a little more salt and/or seasonings, to taste. Enjoy immediately or store the fully cooled chickpeas in an airtight container on the counter (keep in mind that they will lose their crisp over time).
Recipe Notes
Note 1: Use you favorite spice blend here (something with garlic in it works especially well), or try making your own combination. Curry powder, taco seasoning, chipotle powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried dill, and/or cayenne are all great options. Dial the spiciness up or down to your liking.
