Baked Chicken Breasts

This easy baked chicken breast recipe is tender, juicy, and so easy. Just season, bake, and eat!

Shopping List
  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoning of choice (Note 1)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • cooking spray (such as avocado oil)

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 420 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts.
  2. Step 2: Line baking sheet with foil. Add the whole chicken breasts to the baking sheet and spray generously on both sides with the cooking oil. Coat both sides of the chicken liberally with the seasonings (about 1 to 1.5 teaspoons per breast). Season well with salt and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Bake for 12 minutes, then flip and bake for another 8 to 10 minutes. The chicken will be ready when the internal cooking temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. 11+ ounce chicken breasts may need an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Remove the chicken from the baking sheet and place on a plate. Cover lightly with foil and let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve: Dice or slice and enjoy on Cobb Salad and Chicken Tahini Bowls. Toss the cooked chicken with their reserved drippings for more flavor.

Recipe Notes

Note 1: Use your favorite all-purpose seasoning or switch up the flavors with Italian seasoning, curry powder, or taco seasoning. For a homemade all-purpose seasoning, try combining 1 teaspoon garlic powder + 1 teaspoon cumin + 1 teaspoon coriander + 1 teaspoon onion powder + 1 teaspoon oregano + 1 teaspoon salt.
